How the Three-Layer Pity System Works in 7DS Origin
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin uses a unique three-layer pity system that's more complex than most gacha games. Understanding all three layers helps you plan your pulls effectively.
Layer 1: SSR Hard Pity
80 Pulls
You're guaranteed an SSR within 80 pulls. Soft pity kicks in around pull 65, increasing your odds with each pull.
Layer 2: 50/50 & Rate-Up Guarantee
120 Pulls
When you pull an SSR, there's a 50/50 chance it's the featured character. Plus, within 120 pulls you're guaranteed the rate-up character no matter what.
Layer 3: Absolute Worst Case
160 Pulls
If you lose the 50/50 at pull 80 and need another 80 pulls for the guaranteed rate-up, the absolute maximum is 160 pulls.
In short: Most players will get the featured character well before 120 pulls thanks to soft pity and the 50/50 system. But even in the worst case scenario, you'll never need more than 160 pulls. Plan your Star Memory around the 120-pull mark for a stress-free experience.

So the absolute worst case for a specific rate-up character is 120 pulls (or 160 via the 50/50 path if the 120-guarantee was already used).

Each single pull costs 300 Star Memory. A 10-pull costs 3,000 Star Memory (no discount). To reach hard pity (80 pulls) you need 24,000 Star Memory. For the 120-pull guarantee you need 36,000.
How many free pulls do you get at launch?

Approximately 300 pulls through launch events, login rewards, story progression, and missions. Enough to hit the 120-pull rate-up guarantee at least twice if you complete everything. Make sure to clear all launch missions before they expire.
Is there a weapon banner in 7DS Origin?
